Within the scope of the Agricultural Infrastructure Development Program implemented by the GAP Regional Development Administration in cooperation with Musabeyli District Governorship and Kilis Special Provincial Administration, the project focused on grape production, Kilis Province Grape Producers Association was established and the Grape Processing Facility was put into operation.
The project benefits 11,136 people in total and creates social and economic added value by providing employment opportunities for 25 to 50 people periodically. Thanks to the Kilis Province Molasses and Products Production Facility, which was realized with the support of Musabeyli District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, certified production techniques were transferred to farmers, and an average annual income of 60 to 100 million TL was achieved through the establishment.
In line with sustainable agriculture and production techniques, a patent and geographical indication registration was obtained for the Kilis Horoz Kara brand through innovative, technology-based, high value-added and employment-oriented production activities that aim to contribute to the development of the region.
